Our story
It started with a lip balm that never quite worked.
Jenny couldn't find a lip balm that stayed smooth and lasted, so she made her own. Soap came next, because big-box beauty bars kept leaving her skin tight. Then came the body buttercream, reworked from customer feedback until it felt right.
Everything is still made by hand in small batches in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. Each bar of soap cures for at least four weeks before it's ready.

How is your cold-process soap different from big-box beauty bars?
Many big-box bars are labeled “beauty bar” or “cleansing bar” instead of soap. That’s because most are made from synthetic detergents, which lather cheaply but can leave skin feeling tight and dry. Large manufacturers often remove the glycerin, too.
Our bars are true cold-process soap. The glycerin that forms naturally while soap is made stays in every bar, and each one is superfatted, so a little extra oil remains to keep your skin comfortable after you rinse. Every bar is made in small batches, then cut, beveled and cured for at least four weeks before it’s sold. That time and those ingredients are why our soap costs more, and you’ll feel the difference when you step out of the shower.
What is body buttercream?
Body buttercream is our emulsified moisturizer. It's richer than a lotion, and it sinks in within a minute instead of sitting greasy on your skin. For the best results, apply it right after a shower or bath while your skin is still a little damp.
